St Andrews Trails Association

A trail network was desired in St Andrews community to benefit the health and fitness of residents and visitors. This project has taken place in several phases. The first phase was to construct a loop trail behind the community center in St. Andrews on parish land. It was well used through 4-H Great Outdoors, school groups and after school programs for walking, skiing and snowshoeing. Next a connector trail from SASHA to Skye Crescent provided connectivity with Celtic Ridge subdivision and a widened Hwg#316 paved shoulder to the village centre.

A subsequent trail was built along the Old Dunmore road running westward parallel to the South River and current plans are for connectivity from the Community Centre to Lower South River for biking and hiking. On several occasions the Great Outdoors Project provide funding for volunteers to undertake trail & community roadside clean-ups.
